To study with Michiko is truly an honor. Her website highlights the numerous honors and awards she has received as well as the rarity of the skill level she has attained within her field.
The adult calligraphy studio will be held for four Tuesdays beginning on January 13, from 1pm - 3pm. Children's studio times will be held on four consecutive Fridays beginning on January 16, from 3pm - 5pm. The tuition for adults for all four weeks is $130. Children's tuition is $70. Experience is not necessary for either session. Student bring their own supplies: 1 bamboo calligraphy brush, suzuri (stone for preparing ink) and 1 ink stick. Dick Blick carries these materials. There is a Dick Blick in Boston near Fenway Park. I can pick up supplies for those who need them at short notice, so please contact me if you need this assistance.
If you are interested in these courses, but cannot make it on scheduled days/times, please send us a quick email or comment on this post and let us know what days/times work for you. We are currently building a schedule of artist studio programs and would greatly appreciate this information.
You can reserve your spot now by mailing in the form with payment or through paypal. Reservations will be taken in the order they are received.
