Classes @ TLGUTS

Michiko Imai, Master Japanese Calligrapher, is starting a new session of classes at TLGUTS!

Sessions are held on Mondays from 1-3 regularly, but Michiko is open to discussing varied schedules with potential students.

To study with Michiko is truly an honor. Her website highlights the numerous honors and awards she has received as well as the rarity of the skill level she has attained within her field.

The tuition for adults for four weeks is $130. Experience is not necessary  and students bring their own supplies: 1 bamboo calligraphy brush, suzuri (stone for preparing ink) and 1 ink stick. If you have a hard time kneeling on the floor, please let us so so that we can make accommodations for you.

You can reserve your spot now by mailing in the form with payment or through paypal
Mail registration form with a check made out to The Little Gallery c/o TLGUTS, 25 Exchange Street, Lynn, MA  01901, or register through paypal. Please read through the terms and conditions before registering.

Hope to see you at the gallery soon!

Drop off for Important Things

This upcoming weekend, Saturday, September 30th, from 11am-6pm I will be accepting work for the upcoming "Important Things" exhibit. Seems the 6th is a big day for a lot of people, so I am adding an extra drop off date. On June 6th, Salem will be hosting it's art festival, and LynnArts is hosting it's annual RED HOT event. Please feel free to come by a week early to drop off your work if it is more convenient for you!

I also want to tell you about the upcoming shows for my "sister" galleries. The experimental Art Studio in Salem, run by Elise Mankes and Sarah Ashodian is putting together their "small works" exhibit as I am writing this, and the Salem Arts Association is exhibiting the "Large Scale Works". It's worth the trip to see both galleries. The opening receptions for the galleries are held simultaneously the second Saturday of the month. When you come to Lynn to drop off your work, Salem is just an extra 15 minutes north of here, so make a day of it! On your way home, stop in and stay a little while longer for the RED HOT event, play some carnival games, have some fun, support a great cause.

I will see you soon!
J

Be sure to check back here often for the numerous upcoming events and opportunities.
